Design Journal - Class Activities 2

Josh and I are making a game as a team in class for ITB264. The game idea we came up with is simple: you have a grid of letters and a list of words and you must move the grid of letters around to form the words from the list. When you find a word by having them match diagonally, vertically or horizontally then those letters dissapear and the others fall down to fill their place. You must remove enough letters so that there is a full line of space along the top, as you move forward through the levels the words become more complex and you have less moves. Josh and I went through many iterations to come up with this fairly simple solution through intense brainstorming sessions and user testing. As it is now there are no graphics in the game and not even a suitable word list but we are up to our 7^th iteration of the game. Originally the idea was to have it the same as the bejewled game only with letters and I think we have achieved this.
